Matthew Lerner
    Principal

    Matthew Lerner has been working in the real estate industry for over 7-years. His experience includes the sale or acquisition of 29 properties totaling 5.6 million square feet and over $3.6 billion. His experience includes both development of an existing commercial multifamily and mixed-use properties.

    In addition to starting Roughlock Management, LLC., Matt is a director within the acquisition team at Monday Properties, where he specializes in the underwriting and due diligence of New York metro area office, multi-family, and development opportunities.

    Among his responsibilities, Matt underwrites all acquisitions, as well as potential capital relationships. Preceding Monday Properties, he was a senior associate with the JLL New York Capital Markets team, where he oversaw the due diligence and underwriting for transactions ranging from $5M to $462M including 850 Third Avenue, Tower 45, 152 Ludlow, and 180 Orchard Street, all within Manhattan. 

    Matt received his graduate certificate in Real Estate from the NYU Shack Institute of Real Estate. At Syracuse University, Matt received a master’s of science in finance with a concentration in real estate and a bachelor’s of science in finance and entrepreneurship. Matt is also an active member and contributor with Young Jewish Professionals, Friends of Israeli Disabled, Veterans, New York Private Equity Networking, and Host Committee Member of Syracuse University’s “Alumni Orange Real Estate Network”.

      Brian Herz
      Principal

      Brian Herz has been working in construction for the past 16 years. His experience includes roles in the design and construction of multi-family projects in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Nassau County, and Suffolk County. 

      In addition to Brian’s role at Roughlock Management, LLC., he is a Vice-President at Sterling Floor Designs where he has doubled the company’s sales volume over the last 5 years. Brian has been part of the design and construction of more than 15,000 residences. Brian received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Cornell University. Brian sits on the board of directors for the Queens, Bronx, Builders Association and they have recognized him as “Associate of the Year”. He is also an active member of the Long Islands Builders Institute. Before his team at Sterling Floor Designs, Brian was a network architect for Equant Networks and received numerous awards for his participation in the September 11th disaster recovery effort.

       

        Leslie Lerner
        Principal

        Over the past three decades, Leslie A. Lerner has made an indelible mark on New York real estate, spearheading the development and urban renewal of New York’s most desired neighborhoods, smart growth communities and apartment buildings.

        Mr. Lerner is the President of L.A.L. Property Management Corporation, a New York City development and property management company. Mr. Lerner leads the overall vision of the company through creative design, strategic acquisitions, urban revitalization and impeccable property management of buildings in the New York area. Always at the forefront of current trends, Mr. Lerner includes amenities such as urban common areas, custom kitchens and marble baths in many of his apartment designs. Among his countless honors and awards, Mr. Lerner is a New York State Licensed Architect, having received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the City College of New York.
